This conference will assist participants to recognize and enhance their understanding of gangs and the potential issues that they bring to schools and communities. NYGIA provides a venue for collaboration and communication across disciplines. Target audience: community-based organizations, law enforcement, schools, civic groups and faith-based organizations.

Gang Training Seminar presented by the NCGIA

The Northern California Gang Investigators Association is pleased to present a gang training seminar for professionals in Law Enforcement and Corrections. The conference will host presenters from around the country who are experts in the field of gang activities. Expert training has been tentatively scheduled in the following areas:

Street Gangs
  - Black
  - Asian
  - Hispanic
  - White
O.M.G. Gang Psychology/Social Impact
Gangster Rap Terrorism
Gang Prosecution Gangs in the Media
Prison Gangs MS13 Numberous Additional Topics

All class topics are tentative at this time. Topics may be changed prior to conference date. Information on final schedule may be received via email to Conference Coordinator in January 2008.

This conference will provide expert instruction for all attendees from the basics to the advanced.

Attendance is limited to law enforcement professionals. This includes, but is not limited to peace officers, probation officers, corrections, crime analysts, parole agents, federal agents, and prosecuting attorneys. Other related criminal justice professionals may attend with approval of the NCGIA Executive Board.

Application will be made for the following credits:

S.T.C. (Credit Only, non-reimbursable)
